A New Begining

The New Year is almost upon us. Now, lets be honest what do most of us do to start the new year? It can be described in one word, Resolutions. Lets face it most of us that make New Years resolutions don't keep them for very long.  So, why do the majority of the people that make resolutions not keep them?

New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes. What type of changes do we all need to make in order to make things better for the new year?

1. Spend more time with family and friends
Family and friends are important aspects to anyones' lifestyle. Planning to spend more time with the people that mean the most to you is one major way that we can keep ourselves happy, and stay in that sense of sanity. All in all keeping yourself happy is is a key to a healthy lifestyle.

2. Fit for fitness
We all know that regular fitness has been the number one cause of living a healthy lifestyle. With the new year we are all trying to get in better shape. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, increases longevity, helps achieve and maintain weight loss, enhances mood, lowers blood pressure, and even improves arthritis. In short, exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better. Why not make this the time to start getting in shape.

3. Tame the bulge,

Over 66 percent of adult Americans are considered overweight or obese by recent studies, so it is not surprising to find that weight loss is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions. Setting reasonable goals and staying focused are the two most important factors in sticking with a weight loss program, and the key to success for those millions of Americans who made a New Year's commitment to shed extra pounds.

Do your resolutions fall in our top three list. Well believe it or not majority of Americans and their resolutions do. What ever your resolution may be just remember stick to it. If you don't follow through on your resolution it makes it impossible for you to even achieve your goal. Until next time. Remember don't do anything I wouldn't do.
