Christmas Joy

Tip, tap is all you here as you are laying in bed. You get up and head downstairs on this cold December night to try and find the origin of the mysterious sound. The stairs creek as you make your way to the bottom. Your nearly there just a few more steps and you can solve the mystery. Once your get around the corner you see something you never thought possible. There he is the infamous Kris Kringle A.K.A Santa Claus.

I know what your thinking. Santa isn't real. While this may be true he is not just a fictional character. He is a symbol for so much more. Christmas time is the greatest time of the year, and it all stems from this iconic character. Santa Claus is known around the world for spreading joy and delivering presents to the world, all in one night. He lives in the North Pole and spends the entire year with his elves making toys for all the boys and girls of the world. Finally on that one magical  night he gets in his sled pulled by magical flying reindeer. In this sled he delivers his gifts to all the kids on the "NICE" list. Now, Santa watches over all children and those who don't behave get placed on the "NAUGHTY" list. The NAUGHTY list is not something to joke about. For those kids that get placed on this list, don't get anything from Father Christmas other then a big lump of coal.

Now we all know that Santa isn't real. What I am trying to get at here is that there millions of kids throughout the world that believe that Santa is real. They not only believe he is real but 90% of those kids actually believe that if they are bad throughout the year they will actually get a lump of coal in there stocking. So what do I say to this? Well, I say let them keep believing. If they believe that they need to behave in order to get their presents at Christmas well that is in a way a role model for them. I mean a young child needs to have someone to look up to and at a young age Santa is a perfect role model. So until they actually learn the truth about good ol' Saint Nick, I say why not bring a little joy into their holiday time. Until next time Happy Holidays,  and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
